Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said,
“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
“And let us not be weary in well doing:
for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galations 6:9
When I consider Your heavens,
the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels,
And You have crowned him with glory and honor. Psalm 8:3-5 (KJV)
Have you ever been at a place of wanting to give up? Often, the hard part of the journey of faith is that it's a daily journey. It's for this day.
This day! We often are people who want to figure out tomorrow, and the next day, and the next. In honesty, most times, we are really just anxious about what's next. But that Lord says, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." (Philippians 4:6)
The Lord teaches us that He gives us what we need, He supplies for this day, asking us to have faith in His promises, that He will do the same for the next day.
"But without faith it is impossible to please Him." (Hebrews 11:6)
Today, this day, trust in God's promise that He will supply what you need, physically, emotionally, spiritually. And, please God by having faith for His provision for whatever you will need today and tomorrow
"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19) He said He'll supply all you need . . . one day at a time.
Jesus said we are to pray, "Give us this day our daily bread . . ."
Heavenly Father, Give us this day our daily bread and forgive me, my lack of faith when I worry about tomorrow. Lord. thank you that you truly supply all I need today, and by faith I trust you will supply all I need tomorrow and every day after. Thank you, Lord. In Jesus name' Amen.
